Standard Features of the MrSteam MS90EC1 steam generator include a unitized stainless steel reservoir, an industrial large diameter heating element that is serviceable, "snap-in" connections for easy installation, an electronic water-level control system, and a full-port drain valve. The unit also comes with a limited lifetime warranty on steam generator parts.

Safety features of the steam generator include a built-in low-voltage 24-volt control, a 60-minute electronic countdown with a 75-minute limiting safety back-up, an ASME safety valve, and the ITempo Control system. The ITempo Control allows for easy adjustment of digital temperature display, programmable temperature settings, and features an ergonomic, easy-to-read, soft touch keypad. It also has On/Off and Pause modes, and can be used inside or outside the steam/shower enclosure.
